 Sean Ganous - violin/piano

Sean Ganous is a violinist, pianist, composer and teacher.  A native of the Northern Virginia/DC area, he has performed regularly as both a violinist and pianist for over a decade, alone and with professional groups, including the National Chamber Ensemble, the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic, and the Ars Nova Chamber Orchestra. 

His musical studies started early, at the age of three, when it was discovered that he had an intense talent and proclivity  for music.  Since that age, he has gained recognition in musical circles as a skilled and creative performer. 

He was a member of the Arlington Gifted Arts program and concertmaster of the GMU symphony orchestra and several youth orchestras in the DC/Northern Virginia area.  He enjoys collaborative musical experiences such as chamber concerts and accompaniment for instrumentalists and vocalists in a variety of styles.

Sean has been teaching both violin and piano privately and in studio settings for over a decade and is an experienced online music teacher.  He has experience teaching students as young as 4 and students enjoying retirement, so age isn't an issue.  He's a very adaptable teacher, able to form the lessons around the student's learning needs.
